Hello Feltbeaters! And Blog Readers! Here it is!
Meeting Tom was an incredible experience – he’s a fantastic guy! He was so genuine, down to earth, and extremely gracious to his fans. It was like chatting with an old friend – and he was an absolute joy to meet! He answered multiple questions, from his music to Deathly Hallows – including many of the ones you asked. In addition to me representing Feltbeats.com, staff members fromThe Leaky Cauldron, Mugglenet.com, and Snitchseeker.com were also present at the interview. They were a joy to meet and work with.
Here is the video of Tom Felton thanking Feltbeats for their support!
For those of you who want to goggle at Tom’s face while he talks, here is a fair amount of the interview on youtube:

For those of you who prefer to listen to Tom’s voice, and forever keep it with you on your iTunes, here is the audio of the interview:
Of note from the interview:
- Tom has NOT signed an official record deal with Six String productions. He says that the company blew the concept out of proportion. Tom discussed that he and Six String have talked about possibly recording some of his previous songs, and maybe in the future he will do something, but as of yet NO record/album deal has been declared. He mentioned that they are both willing and able to work with each other, and have been talking. Just talking. Tom actually mentioned he was a bit frustrated that Six String blew it so out of proportion. He said their general good working relationship is a bit strained. He says he has no intention of a career change, and definitely “won’t be getting in the pop scene”.
- Tom said he wasn’t able to keep any memorabilia from set. He wanted Draco’s wand and cape for sure, but couldn’t get it. He did say, however, that he was excited about getting Draco’s wand at WWOHP.
- Tom say’s he absolutely loves to see himself as a little Draco Lego player. He admits though, that he isn’t very good at playing. =)
- As far as hard parts of Deathly Hallows filming wise, Tom said that the Room of Requirement scene was very physical. He said he was exhausted after the filming. He actually mentioned that filming Malfoy Manor was difficult cause he and Dan couldn’t keep it together. Apparently, there are points where Dan and Tom have their faces right next to each other, and they just kept cracking up. They made jokes, and Tom even mentioned it felt like there should have been a kiss coming.
- The ‘post production’ part of DH that Tom is most looking forward to are the effects and CGI. He mentioned he has always been impressed with the incredible team, and thanked them for all their hard work. He also mentioned that he absolutely loves the scores from the movies – from the big booms to the small xylophone chimes. He says they always nail it right on. Also, he is always interested to see how they piece the movie together – because they shoot everything at once.
- When asked what his favorite part of the past 10 years on set, Tom said “The end still hasn’t sunk in yet”. He said he has his memories, but it would be hard to identify just one spot from the ten years. One memory though that has stuck in his mind is when filming with Chris Columbus even before he was cast.
- He discussed the emotions of Draco during the Final Battle. He said that Draco had his “head hung low”, because he felt the burden of going from the ‘good’ side to the bad. He said there was just a bunch of emotions that needed to be portrayed.
- Tom was asked what he would do with Draco if he got to write another book. At first, he jokingly replied that he would want to switch it all up, become a Gryffindor, and all. He then laughed, and admitted he hadn’t really thought about that, but it’d be nice for Draco to break away, start his own family, etc

I would also like to thank the other fansites present, as they were extremely kind and a joy to meet. Also, a huge thank you to Warner Brothers for arranging the interview. Amy Marie!
You did such an amazing job with this! I hope you had a GREAT time meeting Tom and acting as an entertainment journalist for a day.
We really appreciate everything you’ve done, and hope to work with you more in the future! Where do you live? We can do this again! =)
Misha
Thanks! Haha, I had a brilliant time!
I’d love to do stuff again!
I live in Northern San Diego when I’m home from college, and then in Central California when I’m at school.
Anything that takes place in Los Angeles (hint hint), San Fransisco, or San Diego I may be able to cover. I’ve got all the kinks worked out, haha, and I absolutely love doing this kind of stuff. If I weren’t pursuing a career in what I am, I think I’d get into film or journalism. =)
Thanks again!
Oh, lol, and I go to Comic Con basically every year. =)
I’m also a huge Tom Felton fan and I actually live closer to SF then Amy does when I’m in school, I’m about an hour as opposed to 2-3

AWESOME and thanks for reporting. Seeing us UK people hardly get anything thanks to WB and all LOL it’s great to get news and such. Glad to hear you had a great day and did get to interview him after all. Love how he jokes about the things, and I am VERY canon but I do get hints of Draco and Harry from reading between the lines so his kiss thing cracked me up.
nice info..
